Jeanne Sanner and Laura Flynn are the founders and sole owners of THE VILLAGE THEATRE & FILM ARTS ACADEMY

(THE VILLAGE ACADEMY), a non-profit partnership.

 

THE VILLAGE ACADEMY was started on July 29, 2013. THE VILLAGE ACADEMY was born out of a desire to call upon very talented people in the village to share their knowledge and their skills in performing arts with the members of our community by providing interesting and dynamic courses and activities.

 

Theatre and film arts provide an opportunity for everyone to participate in some way in a production; from ushering to directing; from costumes and make-up to stage managing and production coordination; from acting to publicity and so much more. The ways to become a member of the performing arts family are unlimited, and the fun has no bounds!

 

But such a dream cannot come true without support, and the support for the THE VILLAGE ACADEMY  has been absolutely overwhelming, from GRF board approval to the nearly 20 highly talented faculty members who have chosen to volunteer their time and skills to this endeavor; without them the THE VILLAGE ACADEMY would be merely an idea instead of a fabulous reality.
